Tongan pepeha

What was challenging for me is translating my writing into tongan. What I learned to do is to write my words into tongan.

What do you do in volleyball?

You can learn how to do volleyball skills.

Firstly at volleyball you can  learn how to stand in your ready position and learn how to serve.

Furthermore you don’t hit the volleyball out of bounds and not to high or else you might injure another volleyball player.

Lastly volleyball when you finish learning the skills you play a game.

Last week Monday, room 8 went to volleyball on the top courts. It was an exhausting  session. All  Room 8 loved it with our new coach Eleanor, she was so nice she taught us how to shift,get in position, also how to serve carefully. We had the best first volleyball session with coach Eleanor, we all  played some games.

All about Time.

We are learning about DMIC.
We are learning to tell the time between 9am to 12pm.
We are solving a maths problem my group was presenting to the classroom.
I found it challenge because I was a little hard for me and my group.

Lots of words

In week 1 my class was doing DIMC we were solving a maths problem. The problem was about time. My challenge was trying to speak. My group was sharing our different ideas and there was lots of words.

Liking Maths with DMIC

We worked in groups.We did the problem solving about the time question. We work out the maths in groups.
I liked the maths because it was challenging.

Me and my group was working on an maths time problem.  There were so much Maths to work out. When we had finished working it out in our group we had to get up write our work up on whiteboard.  What I found challenging in this time problem was when I had to explain how we got it and what we did. I had the best maths session. 😇

Hi this is my comic strip.What I did to make this comic strip was to take four pictures.About different learning, mine is reading,thinking,writing and helping people with their work.

Swing bridge

One sunny Friday Kia Toa, went to see the first Panmure Swing Bridge. We went with Mrs Sharma, Miss Ashley and Miss Jade and some of our parents. The first thing we did was hike to the Panmure Yacht Boating Club where the old Panmure Swing Bridge was made. Then we all gathered together and talked about how the Swing Bridge would open and close for all the boats, ships and punts. After talking about the first Panmure Swing Bridge we went to see where a man that use to paddle back and forth from Panmure to Pakuranga fields. That exact same bridge was starting to become week and rusty so it got demolished.





In America about 2 weeks ago there was a footbridge that collapsed on a 8 lane highway the footbridge was probably made out of concrete and steel for pedestrians. There were skyscrapers and during the collapse there were four people that got seriously injured and there were emergencies and there were over ten survivors but they all went to go get the other four people.

Something that was new for me was that I have never heard about the Panmure Swing Bridge before and that it is new for me.
